UNIBET Open 2011

The Unibet Open 2011(direct Unibet poker client download) culminates with a stop in Latvia’s capital city, Riga, from December 1st-4th – and that’s snow joke! Riga is famous for its party atmosphere and with the Unibet Open coming to town, that’s certainly not going to change as we head to the Baltic state with snow guaranteed!

The tournament will be held at Riga’s glamorous Royal Casino in the heart of the city, so even if you are unlucky enough to bust out early, there is plenty to see and do. You could visit the Freedom Monument or the National Opera House, for example – or if that’s not your thing, the numerous bars and clubs that fill much of the Old Town will satisfy even the most discerning of Unibet players…

With Christmas right around the corner, we’re giving our players a special early gift – the tournament in Riga will have NO CAP on number of players. Most Unibet Opens have completely sold out at just over the 400 mark but this time, we’ll hopefully be looking at our biggest prize pool ever!
So finish 2011 off in style with a visit to the winter wonderland that is Riga as we end the Unibet Open season in a brand new location!

5% of the prize pool at each Unibet Open live will be withheld for the leaderboard. This will be paid out to the top 10 players based on ranking points after the final event in Riga. You must play at least one live and one online event during the year to win your share of the spoils. If you want a helping hand in pushing yourself a little bit further ahead of the chasing pack then look no further – you can pick up extra leaderboard points by accumulating VIP points on Unibet. You can pick up an extra 10 ranking points by earning at least 10,000

VIP points on Unibet between events – which could make all the difference in terms of where you end up on the leaderboard.

Meanwhile, don’t feel too distraught over any bad beats you suffer during the Unibet Open, as the player who receives the worst bad beat in a Unibet Open Main Event during the 2011 tour will win a Rolex watch as consolation for their bad run in the tournament!

Qualification satellites run weekly but even if you can’t make it to all the tournaments, the live blog complete with photos, videos, tweets and comments will always be here at www.unibetopen.com where you’ll be able to follow all the action from the first dealer riffle to the final river card!
